About the Park
This small park offers refreshing views of English Bay and the North Shore Mountains. A large cherry tree frames the views, and flower beds overflow with colour and texture in the spring and summer. A steep stairway leads to the cool, fresh air of the rocky beach below.

History
This park is named for Jean Beaty whose home originally was sited here. In the mid 1990s, Mrs. Beaty decided to sell her home to the Park Board for considerably below market value to allow the Park Board to open up waterfront views and provide park access along Point Grey Road.

The development of parks along Point Grey Road has long been a Park Board vision but rising land values had made this goal more difficult to accomplish.
