About the Park
Beaconsfield’s large old trees march down the centre of the park, making this a pleasant place for a stroll or a moment of contemplation. With grass fields, rolling hills, and playground, this quiet park is a wonderful destination for a family picnic.

History
Originally known as the Renfrew Playfields, the Park Board decided to change this site’s name in November 1948 to Beaconsfield, the same as the nearby school’s. British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli was known as the Earl of Beaconsfield but it is not certain that this was the provenance of this name. City Archivist Major Matthews had suggested Rosedale Park but the Park Board did not concur.
