About the Park
Walking along the shore of the mighty Fraser River is a peaceful and restorative experience. Riverfront Park’s rose- and poplar-lined pathways are its biggest draw, but the park also offers picnic and play areas, all with breathtaking views.

April 17, 2008 – A temporary pathway has been opened along the riverfront from Kerr Street east to Boundary Road as part of the anticipated development of the East Fraserlands, connecting Riverfront Park to the Fraser Foreshore Park in Burnaby.

History
The development of the Fraser Lands parcel in the early 1990s embodied several new park sites as part of the community amenities package. Riverfront Park was officially named at a Park Board meeting on October 23, 1995.
