This small park is a pleasant place to pass through, or stop to rest on a bench in the little plaza. W. C. Shelley Park offers a children’s playground and a small open field, as well as a series of pathways cutting diagonally through the park.
History
This site was officially named on January 7, 1991. It was named for former Park Board Commissioner and Board Chairman W. C. Shelley (1920-1927) who once bought an acre in Stanley Park to prevent its commercial development.
